“German Angst” - the cloud status quo in German companies

Despite the increasing global demand for more digitization in recent years, many companies in German-speaking countries have so far shown a rather hesitant, traditional behavior.

In order to investigate the question of how cloud transformations are actually taking place in Germany, techconsult and Mimecast conducted a short study among 200 IT decision-makers between December 2020 and January 2021.

The study focused on the following questions:

• What is the current level of cloud adoption in German companies?
• What challenges and what advantages does the use of cloud services create?
• Which security services are rated top of the cloud list?
• How has the COVID-19 pandemic influenced cloud decisions?
