The Business Journals: Cybercriminals are picking up their pace — and changing tactics. These businesses are the most at risk.

    Mick Paisley, chief security and resilience officer at Mimecast, said with 2024 being a presidential election year and growing geopolitical tensions, cyberattacks from both hacker groups and those with ties to foreign governments have increased.

    “It is deeply concerning that nation-states are using cyber operations to gather intelligence on rival governments and attack critical infrastructure and information systems,” Paisley said in a news release. “Organizations must act to ensure they and their employees are protected against this continuing uptick in malicious activity.”
